About

Anthy N. Katsiotis, MA, LMBT, has been practicing Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork since 1979 and Somatic Studies since 1978. She is a Licensed Massage Bodywork Therapist (LMBT).

Her initial studies at New York University were in dance as performance, dance therapy and education, where she was introduced to the therapeutic world of touch, movement, and energy. She holds a Masters of Arts in Dance and Dance Education from Teachers College at Columbia University; her studies revealed the healing powers of dance and movement from indigenous cultures worldwide. Anthy's academic experiences, combined with her training in Therapeutic Massage, Bodywork and Structural Integration, have allowed her to offer a unique approach to her hands-on treatments.

“All of my experiences, over the past 35 years, have helped me to grow and become the body worker that I am today. I have always been interested in the body, understanding the mind, and experiencing spirituality. I am a mover and I know that to be the best that you can be you must have a good understanding and relationship with the body. It is through my own personal experience of healing, changing my body/mind, soul and spirit, that I can help others to know their own.”

“The more I know, the less I know. The more I learn, the more I realize we are a never-ending experience of change and growth. Growth comes only if we want it, but change is certain. I see this work as a journey in health, in rejuvenation and longevity. Some call it preventative medicine.”

  - Anthy Katsiotis

Anthy has worked alongside doctors, chiropractors, educators, psychologists, counselors, artists, and holistic practitioners. She has taught her somatic classes privately, as well as in such diverse settings as Princeton University, Columbia University, Skyros Holistic Center in Greece, pharmaceutical companies and private schools. Anthy has lectured and presented workshops in colleges, hospitals, and social groups both here and abroad, sharing with others her vast wealth of knowledge and experience.

Anthy continues to study professionally in order to bring the highest quality to her clients.

"Anthy has an amazing, remarkably intuitive way to find those invisible sources causing discomfort and provide incredible relief and healing. After experiencing whiplash in a car accident, Anthy's massage was the only thing that could relax my head, neck, shoulders, chest and back enough to be able to function during the day and sleep through the night.
I continue to get full-body massages regularly to maintain my body's energy and ability to recover from daily stresses and physical activity."
